International Relations
This course provides a background to the study of contemporary issues in international politics and examines some of these in depth. The issues have been selected both for their relevance to the shape of diplomacy in the Post-Cold-War world and for their complementarity with other courses offered on the programme. The course includes:
- International history since 1945
- An introduction to theories of international relations
- Contemporary global politics and issues:
- Environment- Human rights- Nuclear proliferation- Security- Economic globalisation
