Practitioners Speaker Series
The CISD has begun a new Speaker Series, where those involved in
the practice of diplomacy and international relations have the
opportunity to speak and engage with the SOAS students and faculty.

Professor Roy Rotheim holds the Quadracci Chair in Social Responsibility in the Department of Economics of Skidmore College, USA. His main areas of research lie in post-Keynesian economic theory, economic methodology, and the history of economic thought.

Levi Mihowa, 25 November 2009
Levi Mihowa is Regional Director for Africa of Sue Ryder International and recently chaired the National Implementation Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption Strategy in Malawi.
He had a distinguished career in the Malawian Civil Service, initially
within the Ministry of Finance and later as Chief Executive of Viphya
Corporation Limited.

has been the Secretary General of International Alert since 2003. Prior
to joining Alert Dan held a number of senior positions, most notably as
Director of the International Peace Research Institute in Oslo from
1993 to 2001.
